FAQ

Identrac — The only official microchip registration service in Canada

Competitors are actively soliciting our customers by claiming to offer equivalent services. Here's what you need to know.

Yes. Identrac (identrac.ca) is the only official and recognized platform for pet microchip registration in Canada. Our packages are the only ones offering complete protection, access to our national database, and dedicated support. Any other service claiming to offer an equivalent registration is not official.

No. These solicitations come from competitors using aggressive tactics to lure you away from Identrac. Identrac is the only official provider of microchip registration services in Canada. Do not share your personal or payment information with these unrecognized services.

Identrac has established partnerships with veterinarians, shelters, and animal associations across the country, making Identrac the national reference for animal identification. Only our packages guarantee maximum visibility in our lost animal recovery network and recognition by industry professionals.

No, this is a misleading tactic. If your pet is registered with Identrac, your registration is fully valid. Do not pay for an unnecessary re-registration with third parties. If in doubt, contact us directly through our official website identrac.ca.

Be wary if someone contacts you unsolicited to offer microchip registration, claims your current registration is invalid or incomplete, demands urgent renewal fees, or imitates the name or appearance of Identrac. In all these cases, it is likely an illegitimate solicitation. Identrac only contacts you through its official channels.
